High Street Versus Designer Labels

High street versus Designer labels. I would say i am a fan of both high street fashion and designer labels for different reasons. One of them is that high street gives you a cheaper alternative while designer labels are for a longer term.I am definitely not the kind of gurl who thinks one is cooler in designer labels. Don't get me wrong, designer labels make you look cool but it doesn't necessarily make you cooler than people who wear high street.I think a person's sense of style says a lot more whether they are clad in a designer outfit or a high street outfit.

Anyhoo, that is my opinion thus today's post:)I'd love to hear from you guys as well. When it comes to high street or designer labels, which one are you more comfortable with and why? I have a few selections to help you deceide:

My first example is this black Shift dress. The designer version on the left is by Lela Rose and goes for a whopping £1,085(maybe the belt helped increase the value)While the high street version which is still a bit pricey,if you ask me, from Whistles goes for £195.

This next set:Floral Print dress
The designer version on the left by Erdem  £815 ,Shoes-Jimmy Choo £750 ,Purse-Anya Hindmarch £450
While the high street version on the right by Coast-£150 ,Shoes-Miss Sixty £40 ,Purse-Accessorize £17.50

This set,well i can't tell the difference.Can you?
The designer version on the left is an Alexander Mcqueen leather skinny trousers,a Joseph Ruffled silk Shirt,an Yves Saint Laurent pair of shoes,an Alexander Wang Clutch and an Isharya ring.
While the one on the right, the high street version is a pair of Next leggings,a shirt from Mango,Schuh shoes,a Next Clutch and an Etsy ring.

These shoes. The high street version is from Peacocks on the left and a Jimmy Choo on the right.

These bags are the Ombre Patent totes that are trending now and the one on the left is a Prada tote £2,270 ,while the one on the right is from Topshop £35

So what say you?Are you a die hard designer label kind of gal or are you like me,who is a fan of both?Or maybe you're all for high street.Let me hear from you.

2014 Golden Globes

Happy new year everyone. This is my first blog for the year. It's funny how january creeps in.It's a long and cold month and the beginning to the end of the year. The celebrations were great but now,it's time to get back to business:)

Yesterday, sunday the 12th of January, the 2014 Golden Globes was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel  in Los Angeles. As expected, there was a lot of beauty and Glam. A lot of awards were given out and there were a lot of suprises too. I, was more interested in the red carpet. This year, like others there were a few celebrities that stood out.Today, i am going to be blogging about the few who did it for me and the ones who had me saying 'What was she thinking'?

Lupita Nyong'o stunned in an off the shoulder Ralph Lauren Scarlet gown.

The ageless beauty Sofia Vegara wore a Zac Posen black ball gown with a blue flowered necklace.

Jenna Dewan is wearing a Roerto Cavalli embroidered gown.

Mila Kunis. This 30yr old was a metallic beauty in a dress by Gucci Premiere.

Kate Beckinsale shimmered in a Zuhair Murad Chopard.

There were also some beauties that stunned with their baby bumps. I'll call them My pregnant beauties.

Kerry Washington in custom Balenciaga.
Drew Barrymore bumping in a floral applique by Monica L'huillier.

Olivia Wilde in a Gucci Premiere.

Now these last three ladies are really beautiful but last night their outfits had me asking'what the hell they were thinking'

Julia Roberts has always been a red carpet queen but last night was a big miss for me.

Paula Patton looks great but  those cascading ruffles are a bit too much.

This red dress would have been perfect on Berenice Bejo, if it didn't have all those redhue ruffles.

There were more women that stunned last night, there was just too much Fabulousity to blog about. These were my favourites, who were yours?
